Ms. Hobbs has a passion for multi-family housing projects of any size or nature, as was evident in her design concept for two hotel upgrade projects to provide housing for un-housed individuals in Nevada County as well as multiple multi-family projects throughout California.
An example of her engineering experience has been most recently exemplified in her approach with The Center for the Arts (consisting of two theaters and an art gallery) in Grass Valley, California, where she was instrumental in designing a power and lighting system to meet the unique needs of this project. Her client for this ambitious project placed Ms. Hobbs in a team comprised of theater designers, technology designers, mechanical engineers, architects, and fire life safety contractors, thus establishing her as well-rounded professional who can easily communicate with multiple stakeholders.
Ms. Hobbs is sole proprietor of Spectral Engineering, a company dedicated to client-oriented electrical and lighting solutions.
An alumni of the University of California, Davis, she holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and is LEED AP certified.
